Las Vegas

Here are some pics from our first few days of our Vegas trip. I don't have a lot of time for comentary...tell you about it when we get home!

The lion habitat at the MGM Grand. The lion handlers throw raw ground beef on the glass walls surrounding the habitat so that the lions lick it off while we watch. It was kind of weird. And it explains all the huge smudges on the glass!

Knott's Berry Farm

Whaa! The last full day of our trip. We went to Knott's Berry Farm. It was fun, but I have to admit, I like Disneyland and California Adventure a lot more.

A very funny thing about this picture of Brent below. Brent and I went to Disneyland with our mom and dad when we were 7 and 9 years old (25 years ago!!) There is a picture of Brent doing the exact same pose with the same old-timers! I can't wait to compare them!

The characters at Knott's Berry Farm are the Peanuts Gang. Amelia participated in a show with Charlie Brown, Lucy and Linus. I think she was the star of the show!! Speaking of Amelia being a star, when we were at Universal Studios, Japanese tourists took pictures of her. She was just standing at the entrance of a gift store and they came and took her picture. It was kind of weird.

Knott's Berry Farms has loads of roller coasters. I don't have any pictures of the roller coasters; If someone had taken a picture of me after Dean and I went on the Silver Bullet, you would have noticed a slight shade of green! But Camp Snoopy had a ton of rides for little ones. Little mini thrill rides. The kids loved them!

Things got a little goofy on the ferris wheel!!

California Adventure

Today we went back to the world of Disney. Except we went to California Adventure, which is a Disney park beside Disneyland. The rides and shows there were great! Dean, Brent and I went on the Califoria Screamer, which is a classic roller coaster - so fun!! We saw more characters like Mr. Incredible and Elasti-Girl, Lightning McQueen and Tow Mater, Hercules, Goofy, Mickey Mouse, etc.
Oh, and just a note - although the date above says Feb 5, it wasn't Feb 5 that we spent this day at Disney. It was January 31.
